What is the topography of sound? How is sound an extension of the body? Where are the edges of the body? What does it mean to extend the body’s architecture into space? What happens when sounds meet the body? In the verdant space between the body, space, and sound, where edges cease to exist, new ideas, relations, sensations are formed, built, explored. This is one aspect of their upcoming work Edge Effects. Roland Toledo and Tere Mathern share their creative approaches to dance and sound and excerpts from recent collaborative work.
